As ever, we owe an immense debt of gratitude to all of our volunteers - this Festival would be absolutely impossible without you! And so we invite ALL who volunteered to please join us for a special thank you luncheon on Sunday, July 13 at the Little Flower Auditorium. Sweet Cotton-Candy Memories – Etouffee Festival Poster 2025
The sounds of distant laughter and cheerful clanking of carnival rides mixed with the faint scent of fresh popcorn and cotton candy; the air thick with the hum of excitement as two childhood friends walk towards the cotton candy booth. They are filled with anticipation as they see the enchanting clouds of pastel pink and blue puffs of sugar spun in a whirl of sweetness that taste like the very essence of the fair itself.
Together they share the sweet treat and the easy camaraderie that only a childhood friendship could offer as they lick at their cotton candy and occasionally steal a glance at each other. In this carefree moment, there is something quietly magical happening as the soft glow of the carnival lights and whisper of the breeze leave them feeling that time has paused just for them.
The magical moment hangs between them, suspended in the air like a butterfly, delicate and unpredictable, waiting to be carried away by the breeze. Little do they know that this very moment will stay with them, long after the fair has packed up and the lights dimmed. A sweet snapshot of their youth, fragile and fleeting, but captured forever by the sugar on their lips and the joy in their eyes.
