SAINT NICK PANTRY

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat"

St Nick Pantry serves local elderly and families, please feel free to add prayer cards, drawings from kids, friendship letters to the baskets so that our Lord's light and warmth can shine through you within our community. For Thanksgiving, we were blessed to serve 32 families in Arnaudville and 25 homeless people in Lafayette. Donations can be brought to the baskets located at the entrance of St Francis Regis Church and St Catherine Church, or at 319 Union Street Arnaudville (yellow house facing Arnaudville Middle). Thank you for your renewed generosity.

What is St Nick Pantry?

Saint Nick Pantry’s first objective is to give mainly non-perishable foods, occasionally produce and meat, to our local elderly and families. Saint Nick Pantry currently serves three neighborhoods in Arnaudville, and we hope to extend our service to a fourth neighborhood shortly. We are in need of volunteers to sort and bag donations and to distribute here in Arnaudville. We usually distribute on Sundays, end of the morning – beginning of the afternoon and sometimes during the week.

Saint Nick Pantry’s second objective is to serve as a disaster relief local initiative, as it was the case in the Lake Charles area after Hurricane Laura and Hurricane Delta. We brought non-perishable, snacks, drinks, produce, home cooked meals, toiletries and school supplies to Lake Charles and Sulfur communities, as well as to the linemen working in Venton.

A program of Saint John Francis Regis Church, Saint Nick Pantry also benefits from the help of generous partners: Saint Catherine Church, Russel’s, Le Bon Voisin, Acadiana Humane Society, Super 1 in Carencro, Saint Joseph and Saint Rose Churches in Cecilia, Arnaudville Middle School and Our Savior Church in Opelousas.
